Welcome to our Rustic Falls page!

A few years ago, McCracken Middle School's student council got involved with Rustic Falls Nature Camp.  This camp is located in Burlington, Wisconsin, and was started by the Lentz family in 2006.  This camp is a customized experience for small groups, where the goal is to create a unique outdoor experience for at-risk-youth, cancer survivors, and those children or adults who suffer from a physical or mental challenges.  The intent is to offer a safe and nurturing place for recreational and education activities.

The Lentz family lives in district 73.5, and their children have attended McCracken in the past.  Check out their website for more information:  http://rusticfallsnaturecamp.org/

For the past two years, the seventh graders have had Rustic Falls as the focus for their service learning project.  They have created items as decorations for the camp, along with holding donation drives for needed items.  The seventh graders have also gotten to visit the camp on their way back from Camp MacLean in the spring.

This year ACT has started to get involved in some of the activities relating to Rustic Falls.  A Mini-Dance Marathon will be a combined effort between these two groups to help raise awareness and money for the work accomplished at Rustic Falls.
